4DO应该是目前已知的,完成度最高的3DO模拟器了,这次的新版也赶在年前发表了。实际上最初的4DO和现在的4DO是两个计划,作者在2007年刚开始4DO的时候它是一个HLE内核的模拟器,到2010年,因效果不佳而放弃,同年FreeDO开放代码,作者于2011年在FreeDO源代码的基础上重启4DO,是LLE内核了。
